Can you briefly explain the process of applying for Turkish citizenship when purchasing a property?

The procedure begins with the purchase of a property and after submitting an application to the property register. The application is sent to the relevant ministry where the value of the property is determined and the decision is made that the property cannot be sold within 3 years.

Secondly the application for a Turkish citizenship is submitted. When the decision is made, you get your citizenship and you can then also apply for a Turkish passport.

Can my family get a Turkish citizenship when buying a property?

The entire family including spouse and children under the age of 18 can obtain a Turkish citizenship.

Can my child over the age of 18 benefit from the new rules of citizenship?

No, unfortunately adult children are not covered by the right of citizenship.

How should I calculate the exchange rates for USD and TL?

According to the law, the exchange rate is calculated at the Turkish Central Bank and the selling rate on the day of the transaction.

What investments are required to meet the conditions for a Turkish

• An investment of at least USD 500,000 or its equivalent in foreign currency or
Turkish lira.
• A deposit of at least USD 500,000 or the equivalent in foreign currency or
Turkish lira to a bank operating in Turkey. This provided that the money is not
withdrawn over the next three years.
• Purchase of shares, purchase of real estate, investment funds or venture capital investment funds for at least USD 500,000 or the equivalent in foreign currency or Turkish lira. This provided that the holding is not sold for the next three years.
• Purchase of government bonds worth at least USD 500,000 or the equivalent in foreign currency or Turkish lira, provided that the holding is not sold for the next
three years.
